The service was friendly. There were no bugs. It is definitely a bit outdated but that's ok. The shower worked properly and had great pressure I felt safe in its location. My only complaint would be that nothing seems to have been wiped down other than the bed and tables. Just a little dusty though...nothing gross. It is a smoking room though. I would stay again. Thanks again ABV!

The person checking us in, all smiles. The room was very clean. The King bed was wonderful. Breakfast basic, waffles, eggs, cereal. The pool is as sparkling as the picture shown. My granddaughter, my traveling buddy, did not want to leave the pool. The parking lot was extremely well lit at night. Great experience.

It was ok. When we first walked in no one came to the window so we left and went back again a little while later and someone finally helped us. It was about $95 a night for a king which I thought was a little high. And if you have animals you can't stay. You can't even have a guest over.

I'm pretty sure I don't understand some of the reviews about this hotel. If you want a 5 star hotel there is a Marriot in town. This is America's Best Value Inn, I understand being skeptical about any of their properties, I have stayed at some not so nice versions of this place, but trust me, this one is very good. They actually invest in the property and upgrade it, I have stayed here numerous times. The rooms have tile flooring and granite top furniture and counters, it's very nice. Large screen flat TV, microwave and refrigerator in every room I've been in . The only thing it's lacking is a coffee pot, but there is a Whataburger next door that has good coffee if you are in need, or go down to Gordon's Bait and Tackle, they have a very nice cup of coffee and good local flare burritos as well. The pool is immaculately maintained, the people that run it live on the property, it's well monitored and very nicely kept. This place is right on the outskirts of Brownsville when heading to Padre Island. I really can't say enough for the hotel or the people that are running it. The old saying you get what you pay for? In this case, you get a lot more for what you pay for in terms of value. If you're planning to try this place out, just call the hotel for the best rates. None of the online venues have better rates than what they will give you over the phone, I've tried on several occasions. Not that their online prices are that bad, but I paid $47 plus tax in person whereas the online venues had it priced at $59.

Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Ft. Worth We stand there on 7/21/18 and checked out the next morning. The room was supposed to be a non smoking room. The second I entered the room, I knew it was not. The room smelled of embedded cigarettes in the carpet, mattress, everything in the room. After sleeping there I woke up the next morning with horrible allergies. My friend was also sick from it. I will never stay here again. I wish I could get it minus stars because the owners deserve it. I will say that the staff that checked me in were two very pleasant ladies. I don't smoke and never have, but there is no way they could ever get the smoke smell out of that room.

This hotel met all my criteria - clean, safe and budget friendly. ||Parking easy, right in front of my door.||Has microwave and mini fridge. ||Pool looked filled, but not open. ||Biggest towels I think I've seen in a hotel. ||The only thing I wish the room had was a deadbolt or chain lock for the door. Just for extra piece of mind as single female traveler.

If I could put negative stars I would!! The manager is a so unprofessional I was completely shocked! Never in my life have I ever had such rude hospitality and customer service. The laundry machines are disgusting and you have to pay at the front desk because of all the drugs/homelessness in the area and the rooms are unimaginable. We didn’t even complete our stay. Rooms have burns everywhere and I’m pretty sure the person next door was selling drugs out of his room. Oh and if you try to get ahold of someone above the manager good luck! She laughed at me when I told her she was unprofessional and I would be contacting someone above her.
