I really wanted to like this store and the owner, because at purchase he was a really nice guy. However, after today, my feelings have strongly reversed. 6/28 We purchased a pair of dress shoes, sandals and orthotic insoles. After having all the items, he then made the umbrella statement that we could return them after 30 days of use should we be unappy with them in any way. At no point did he ever clarify, mention or even elude to the fact that this statement only pertained to the orthotic insoles. Well great! No more time needed to decide! Despite this coming to $450+ if they don't work out, we can just return them! As he did not differentiate that little detail, we left under the impression that should we be dissatisfied with the shoes we were to purchase, after 30 days we could return them. The VERY NEXT DAY I return with the shoes having put them to the test just STANDING in them for a few hours, I found that the pain in my heels had not dissipated, so the price wasn't justified to me. Upon presenting the shoes for return, we were stunned that they denied it. PLEASE SEE THE PHOTOS ATTACHED. We were told that you could "Clearly see foot marks and that they were worn." I can BARELY see that and if you're told you have 30 days to wear them, what are you going to do- look at them for 30 days, then decide to return them He also mentioned at return that it says that we can't return worn shoes ON THE RECEIPT-so AFTER you've already purchased. I am so tired of deceitful people in this world. He was not forthright and I will not be shy about warning everyone I know about this place.

Edit: And of course you don't care to address us, you know what you did and you have our money...

“Tim” the owner of Browns shoe store located in lufkin, Tx; was awesome, local shops and customer service are truly priceless in this day and age.. yes, you could ship it to your house, but good luck with getting a problem resolved in the same business day… when we do something right, it’s rare anyone makes note…however I’d like to brag on this local shoe store, you get what you pay for… excellent service

I just found out that I'm flat footed which in turn has been causing lower back pain, hip pain, knee pain, leg weakness and pain and also foot pains and I never even thought about it being from flat feet. They were awesome and got me setup with some great arch support insoles for my current work shoes and they also helped me find some great walking shoes with great arch support which I have put on layaway. I would recommend Brown's shoe fit to everyone, they are absolutely wonderful.

Malcolm was awesome to work with today as well as Tim. This staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Tim has his staff trained well and it shows every time I have visited this location. I would give 10 stars if I could. Best shoe store in East Texas!

My husband was at Brown's for new shoes, he bought 3 pairs. Great service, very knowledgeable salesperson. Reminds me of shoes stores from when I was a kid they sit down and help you put your shoes on.

The fine folks here sold me some new Tennis Shoes called "Hoka" and they are something else! Nothing Good is seldom inexpensive, and my feet feel better than they have in years! THANK YOU NICE LADY for the tennis shoes that make me stand up straight and no longer pronate!
